Ashley O’Hare – Volunteer Coordinator
Ashley O’Hare, Volunteer Coordinator, first heard about Girls on the Run St. Louis by word-of-mouth. After researching the organization Ashley knew she wanted to get involved to educate young girls about healthy habits and share her passion for running. In the spring of 2010 she volunteered as an assistant coach and served on the race committee; the program and the impact it has on each girl continually impressed her. Ashley believes in Girls on the Run and is thrilled to be part of the amazing staff.
Ashley is a St. Louis native (and if you’re wondering…she went to Visitation Academy). She started running at a young age and has been hooked ever since. She also enjoys biking, skiing, and hiking – just about any outdoor activity she can do with her husband and their two dogs. She earned her BSBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Denver; prior to working at GOTR Ashley worked in operations as an institutional financial investment advisor.
What’s your favorite GOTR moment?
I love watching the girls finish the 5k. Their smiles say it all! They set a goal for themselves and completed it.

Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
Not a hobby yet…but I got a sewing machine about a year ago and haven’t taken it out of the box…It seems intimidating; however I would like to learn.
