5k Race Intern

Position Summary:  The 5k Race Intern works with the Program Director, Volunteer Coordinator, and Race Management Company to help plan and execute the Girls on the Run 5k.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Coordinating race day and event day logistics
• Maintaining and updating materials for events
• Communicating with race chairs to keep them up to date with necessary materials
• Recruiting race volunteers

Qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent research, writing and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Willing to work in fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Other information:

• Interns should expect to work a minimum of 10 hours per week for at least 10 weeks beginning in March 2012
• Applicant is expected to help on race day (May 12, 2012), at any planned expos and should plan to attend evening Race Committee meetings once a month
