FLEET FEET Sports is proud to partner with Girls on the Run SoleMates. Registration as a SoleMate can include participation in No Boundaries 5k, Momentum 10k, the FLEET FEET Training Team, or the Tri Team to help you reach your goal while training for a greater purpose. Small steps make a big difference!
To register for SoleMates with FLEET FEET Sports:
- Register as a SoleMate and select your distance with “FLEET FEET training” option
- Register for your goal race
- Once registration has been received by Girls on the Run St. Louis SoleMates, you will receive an email with the registration paperwork for FLEET FEET training.
FLEET FEET TRAINING TEAM (half or full marathon)
Join the FLEET FEET Training Team for Saturday group long runs led by experienced half and full marathoners who are there to coach you along the course, provide pacing support, and get you to the start line healthy and prepared to cross that finish line! With a variety of pace groups ranging from 8:30/mile to 12:30/mile and two run/walk groups and walk- only groups (half marathon program only), there is a pace group for you!
Benefits include: Professionally-designed training schedule with daily workouts, coached long runs and pace-specific training, organized Saturday morning long runs on some of St. Louis’ best running routes, weekly training tips and support, and more!
NO BOUNDARIES 5k PROGRAM
FLEET FEET Sports offers No Boundaries , a TRUE beginner 10 week program, that will help you gradually build up to running, run/walking, or walking a 5K (3.1 mile) distance. The purpose of the program is to introduce participants to the lifetime fitness activities of running and walking and to encourage them to live healthier lifestyles.
No Boundaries will offer participants guidance and advice from experienced coaches, weekly group training runs or walks, and educational clinics on topics such as proper nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injury, all within a fun and supportive environment.
MOMENTUM 10k PROGRAM
FLEET FEET’s Momentum 10K training program keeps you moving towards your training goals and is perfect for the 5K runner and half marathon hopeful. This intermediate 10K program is geared towards runners who want to improve their overall distance and race times. It incorporates four run days, longer endurance runs, strength/core training and injury prevention techniques to get you to the goal race. FLEET FEET and their dedicated coaches will help you every step of the way with coached group workouts and tons of motivation.
TRI TEAM
Join the Triathlon Training program to develop your multi-sport skills. FLEET FEET Sports has partnered with Momentum Cycles, the City of St. Peters Rec-Plex, and USA Triathlon Level 1 Coach & Ironman Triathlete Brian Schoenholz to bring you experienced, motivated coaches to get you to the spring Rec-Plex Triathlon in 2012.
The Triathlon Training program kicks off with the Get Geared Up Clinic covering program details, equipment for each sport, nutrition/hydration help, and general training tips. The Triathlon Training program features three coached workouts, one for each discipline.
